David Tabatsky is a writer, editor, teacher, humorist and performing artist, based in New York City.
His memoir, American Misfit, released in 2017, tells the story of an American visiting Japan who is caught up in a terrifying arrest and imprisonment. When the U.S. Embassy informs him that there is nothing they can do to assist him, David’s harrowing journey of enforced isolation, despair and utter terror begins.
He is the co-author and author of numerous books including several books on cancer and Dear President Obama: Letters of Hope from Children Across America.
David has worked professionally in theatre and circus as an actor, clown and juggler, at New York City’s Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre and throughout the United States and Europe.
He is currently completing two memoirs, a short story collection, and a revised version of Write for Life, all to be published in 2019.
