Today my guest is Kyle Bryant, author of Shifting into High Gear, a memoir of the 2500 mile bike ride with his family, while he was dealing with the diagnosis of Friedreich’s Ataxia.
At age 17 Kyle Bryant was devastated when he was diagnosed with the rare, debilitating, life-shortening disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia or FA. Kyle, however, took this extremely challenging situation and turned it into an opportunity to provide hope to the FA community and to empower others, riding his recumbent trike thousands of miles and raising millions for FA research. Now Kyle shares his outlook about how to turn adversity into opportunity in his memoir and speaking engagements.
