Robert Freeman is a Harvard graduate, Princeton PhD, Steinway artist and the author of the book Woof, dedicated to his wife Carol who he was married to for over forty-two years. Bob has been the proud master of seventeen dogs–eleven of them golden retrievers, six of them American dogs.
A bit about Bob: Having made tenure at MIT, he directed the Eastman School of Music for twenty-four years, presided over the New England Conservatory for three, and served as dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas in Austin for seven. His book Woof develops the joys of pet ownership together with the responsibilities that should accrue to those who take on that responsibility. Dogs and music are two of Bob’s favorite things.
