My guest today is Tatiana Forero Puerta who has taken a painful, frightening journey few of us might survive. Yet she has emerged whole and healthy – and today serves as an inspiration to many through her teaching and practice of yoga. She is the author of Yoga for the Wounded Heart: A Journey, Philosophy, and Practice of Healing Emotional Pain. A graduate of Stanford and New York University, Tatiana is a recipient of the 2017 Pushcart Prize and a finalist for Blueshift Journal’s award for writers of color.
She has taught philosophy and yoga for a decade, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at New York University and the City University of New York. Tatiana is also core faculty at Peaceful Generation Now, a New York-based mindfulness program focused on bringing mindfulness practices to educators and school administrators in the New York Tri-state area, with the hope of cultivating peaceful classrooms. She lives and teaches in NY.
